Job summary

Chelsea Search Group seeks a Senior Applications Engineer with deep IC design and characterization expertise to support customer engagements and develop comprehensive product documentation. The role acts as a technical bridge among design teams, customers, and business development.

Responsibilities include creating detailed datasheets, application notes, and reference designs, plus delivering training and pre-/post-sales support. Remote-friendly with on-site Minneapolis, MN location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering field; MS preferred
• Proven ability to create clear technical documentation and datasheets
• Experience translating complex concepts into customer-facing content

Responsibilities

• Create detailed specifications, characterization data, and application guidelines
• Maintain datasheets for ASIC and standard products
• Document electrical characteristics, timing diagrams, and package information
• Produce application notes and reference designs for customer success
• Conduct design reviews and advise on IC integration
• Deliver technical presentations and training to customers and field engineers
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support
• Troubleshoot customer design issues and propose solutions
• Analyze silicon data and validate performance across conditions
• Define IC characterization test plans across PVT
• Support failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Collaborate with design/test teams to optimize performance
• Collaborate with marketing on product positioning
• Contribute to new product definitions from customer feedback
• Interface with IC design teams to explain features and limitations
• Support sales with technical expertise
