Job summary

Performix is seeking a hands-on Helpdesk Specialist / Junior Systems Administrator for a 3-month contract to support a primarily remote team near Boston. You will handle end-user support and foundational systems tasks with emphasis on Microsoft 365 environments.

You will be the primary contact for remote and local employees, troubleshoot Tier 1–2 issues, image and ship laptops, and assist with on-site hardware deployments as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT Helpdesk, Technical Support, or Junior SysAdmin role.
• Strong M365 experience: configuring Office 365 accounts, mailboxes, and basic tenant settings.
• Proficient with Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID user administration.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Experience with device deployment using MDM tools (Intune, Jamf) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for remote and local employees (hardware, software, network, access).
• Diagnose and resolve Tier 1–2 tickets with strong customer service.
• Image, provision, and ship laptops and peripherals for onboarding; coordinate returns for offboarding.
• Manage Microsoft 365 setups: user accounts, mailboxes, licenses, distribution groups.
