TISTA Science and Technology Corporation seeks a detail-oriented Validation Specialist to support healthcare quality improvement initiatives. You will review medical records, investigate discrepancies between hospital and CDAC abstractions, and determine the gold-standard response.

Responsibilities include documenting explanations and educational feedback, entering data accurately, and safeguarding PHI. The role emphasizes reliability, regulatory alignment, and collaboration with teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a hospital/healthcare or medical record review environment.
• Education or formal training may substitute for experience.
• At least one year of abstraction experience with above-average data accuracy and productivity.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjudicate discrepancies between hospital abstractions and CDAC abstractions to determine the 'gold standard' answer.
• Provide explanations and educational comments to hospital or CDAC.
• Perform medical record abstraction as needed.
• Enter data into software accurately.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of medical records and PHI.
• Follow established processes, quality standards.
• Meet productivity and accuracy expectations.
