Banner Health is seeking a Data Scientist I to provide data and analytic support for the business. You will work with large databases, applying quantitative methods to deliver data-driven solutions that improve outcomes and profitability.

This role collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization. The position is fully remote with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule; candidates must reside in Arizona.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Health Services Research, or related field.
• 3–4 years hands-on experience with inferential statistics, A/B testing, ML and predictive modeling.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and strong communication skills.
• Strong technical skills in SQL, SAS, Tableau, and similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide data and analytic support for business needs using large databases.
• Apply quantitative methodologies to produce data-driven solutions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to improve outcomes, operations and profitability.
• Troubleshoot data issues and escalate where needed while delivering insights.
