Essentia Health is seeking a hospital billing professional to process claims and support the revenue cycle from their Fargo area location. You will work electronic and paper submissions, resolve claim issues, and strive for timely first‑pass payments while keeping patient and payer records accurate.

The role includes coordinating with payers, credentialing, access and managed care teams, and staying current on HIPAA and regulatory changes.

Qualificações

• 1 year of healthcare billing, revenue services, or coding experience preferred.
• Medical certification or degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Process paper and electronic claims with full information to maximize reimbursement.
• Handle assigned work queues and claim edits to prevent denials.
• Communicate payer, HIPAA, or regulatory changes affecting billing and payments.
• Collaborate with insurance companies, credentialing, access and managed care teams.
• Recommend system changes to improve revenue cycle and training development.

Formação académica
