Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital is hiring a Billing Operations Team Leader to direct our Business Office from a fully remote role within Minnesota. You will oversee billing, reimbursement, AR, and compliance while guiding a team of billing professionals in a patient-focused healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in finance or related field and 3–5 years in hospital billing with 2–4 years of leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of Critical Access Hospital billing experience.
• 2–4 years of leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare billing.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medical Assistance, third-party payer requirements, medical terminology, and billing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Business Office team members.
• Oversee billing operations, reimbursement, accounts receivable, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor performance, analyze metrics, and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with clinical, financial, and operational leaders to improve workflows and resolve billing issues.
• Support departmental technology systems and revenue cycle operations.
