Summit Healthcare Mgmt is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage accounts receivable and insurance follow-up as part of the Centralized Business Office team. Remote role with responsibilities including contacting payers and patients, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely reimbursement using healthcare business software.

You will pursue payments, monitor a 40+ daily worked account target, prepare adjustments, and report payer trends to leadership.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of hospital or physician insurance collector experience.
• Prefer behavioral health experience.
• Knowledge of UB04 forms, HCFA 1500 forms, CPT-4 and ICD-10-CM coding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Pursues payment from third party payers and patients; initiates contact and tracks payment progress.
• Ensures follow up queue is current and noncompliance accounts are limited to 7 days delinquent.
• Prepares adjustment forms and refund requests for management approval.
• Reports payer and denial trends to management.
• Participates in AR Review calls with assigned facility.
• Manages daily productivity; maintains an average of 40 accounts worked per day.
• Researches slow or disputed claims and takes appropriate action.
• Generates AR reports as required by management.
