Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years hospital or physician insurance collection experience required.
• Experience with UB04/HCFA 1500, CPT-4 and ICD-10-CM forms preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pursues payment from third-party payers and patients when needed.
• Initiates contact with payers and tracks payment progress.
• Keeps follow-up queue current; noncompliant accounts limited to 7 days delinquent.
• Prepares adjustment forms and refund requests for approval.
• Reports payer/denial trends to management and UR teams.
• Participates in AR Review calls and daily productivity monitoring.
• Researches slow or disputed claims and takes appropriate action.
• Generates AR reports as required by management.
