Job summary

Wipfli LLP's accounting advisory practice seeks a Manager with healthcare and post-acute care experience to serve as an outsourced controller for skilled nursing clients. You will deliver controller-level advisory, guide budgeting and forecasting, and drive operational improvements to support long-term financial stability.

You will lead and mentor client teams, oversee high-quality financial reporting, and build trusted relationships grounded in the Wipfli Way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4–6 years of accounting, advisory or financial reporting for skilled nursing facilities or post-acute healthcare.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement for skilled nursing facilities and regulatory compliance.
• 3+ years of managing staff or teams.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis with strong MS Office/related tools.

Responsibilities

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and KPIs to support client insights.
• Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Provide technical accounting support on complex issues for clients.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Lead and coordinate US and offshore engagement teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and a consistent client experience.
• Lead and coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and financial reporting matters.
