Job summary

RTI International is seeking a Research Economist to lead evaluation and design of health care delivery policies, programs, and models. You will work with large datasets to analyze the Medicare/Medicaid landscape and inform policy decisions.

Ideal candidates have PhD or related Master’s with strong quantitative skills, experience with econometric methods, and the ability to communicate complex results to diverse audiences. Remote within the US is possible, with headquarters in RTP, NC.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics, health policy, health services research, actuarial science, operations research, finance, or a related quantitative field, or a Master’s with 6+ years’ experience.
• Proven experience leading or contributing to applied quantitative research and evaluation projects.
• Expertise in micro-econometrics, simulation analysis, and policy evaluation applied to real-world questions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute to quantitative health policy research and evaluation.
• Design and supervise analyses of large, complex datasets.
• Translate findings into actionable insights for technical and client audiences.
• Develop budgets, timelines, and manage project plans.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to proposals.
