Westinghouse Electric Company is offering a Health Physics/Radiation Protection internship for the summer. This paid full-time remote role runs May through August 2027 and reports to the Global Radiation Protection Manager in Corporate EHS.

You will perform audits at radioactive materials sites, help improve radiological protection procedures, and work on CAP-88 and NRCDose projects, contributing to clear radiological risk communications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in health physics is required.
• Experience with radiological regulatory requirements.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.
• Willingness to travel to a Westinghouse site occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Perform Health Physics/Radiation Safety audits at radioactive materials sites.
• Identify improvements in Corporate Radiological Protection procedures and guides.
• Work on projects using CAP-88, NRCDose, etc.
• Help implement program improvements at radioactive materials sites.
• Publish radiological risk communications documents with the communications team.
