Job summary

We. is seeking an Account Director, Health Media Relations Specialist in the United States to lead healthcare communications and media campaigns. The role focuses on translating complex healthcare topics into compelling stories for national and trade media, while guiding a team of health media professionals.

You will work closely with senior leaders to shape strategy, manage client relationships, and deliver measurable media results across pharmaceuticals, digital health, and life sciences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field.
• 6+ years of PR and media relations experience, preferably in an agency or applicable industry.
• Established relationships with healthcare, pharma, biotech, payer, science and tech media reporters.
• Experience building media strategy and client-facing media materials.
• Experience with healthcare accounts and explaining complex topics to media.

Responsibilities

• Provide media relations counsel to health clients alongside Senior VP, Health Media team.
• Collaborate with Health Media Specialists; share learnings and publish biweekly insights newsletter.
• Develop integrated communications plans and strong media angles aligned to client goals.
• Identify and grow relationships with target media/influencers to secure coverage.
• Execute media outreach, contribute content, and manage media activities and lists.
• Develop client-ready materials: press releases, backgrounders, FAQs; assist with multimedia content.
• Collaborate with account teams; support media campaigns with experts.
• Manage projects, timelines, client expectations, and measure media results.
