Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a remote customer service professional to handle inquiries about insurance benefits, eligibility, provider contracts, and claims. The role involves data entry, problem resolution, and maintaining customer relationships with strong communication across channels.

Candidates should be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate empathy, and work flexible hours within EST overlap. Training and onboarding will precede regular duties.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and experience in an automated customer service environment
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work between 8am-8pm EST, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims.
• Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions.
• Operates a PC/image station to obtain and extract information and documents changes in the database.
• Documents inquiry outcomes for tracking and analysis.
• Maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with other functions to handle requests promptly.
• Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.
• Provides information to external and internal customers.
• Performs follow-up calls/e-mails for routine questions under supervision.
• Uses computerized systems for tracking and troubleshooting.
• Handles calls, texts, faxes, and electronic queues while taking notes and speaking with customers.
