Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Data Analyst for a remote opportunity supporting the implementation and operation of a statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) and the development of a Health Data Utility (HDU). This role combines dashboard development, population health analysis, and clinical quality measurement to support HIE and HDU reporting.

This remote position requires the candidate to reside within the continental US and collaborate with engineering, clinical, and analytics teams to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, public health, health informatics, statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of healthcare analytics and reporting experience.
• Strong SQL, data visualization, and dashboard development skills.
• Experience with HEDIS, MIPS, or clinical quality measures.
• Ability to communicate findings to clinical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations for program, provider, and payer stakeholders.
• Analyze utilization, patient cohorts, care gaps, and population health trends.
• Translate HEDIS, MIPS, and clinical quality specifications into analytical logic.
• Build and validate reporting queries, datasets, and measure calculations.
• Investigate data discrepancies with engineering and clinical teams on remediation.
• Document metric definitions, analytical methods, assumptions, and limitations and explain findings to stakeholders.
• Take on additional tasks to support team objectives and project success.
