Job summary

Atlassian is seeking an Engineering Leader to join the Data Engineering team in San Francisco. You will build data products powering GTM strategy, lead a world-class data engineering practice, shape technical strategy and data architecture, and develop data products enabling reporting, analytics, data science, ML, and AI workloads.

You will partner with IT, data platform, product engineering, GTM stakeholders, analytics teams and data scientists to support multiple programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in building and scaling data teams with a focus on data strategy, infrastructure planning, architecture, and data products.
• 10+ years of experience leading data engineering teams, managing managers of managers, and scaling organizations with 20+ engineers across geographies.
• 10+ years delivering data and analytics solutions for product teams.
• Strong product sense and ability to guide value using data across the organization.
• Proven ability to build influential relationships with senior leaders across departments.
• Experience partnering with Analytics, Data Science, Engineering and Product Management teams.
• Martech (tools and tech) and Sales tech experience.
• Led as SME across Marketing, Sales and Tech domains, translating stakeholder needs into data products.
• Experience building Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• DevOps practices for data platforms including CI/CD, data observability, monitoring and lineage.
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Amplitude, and Redash.
• Graduate degree in Computer Science or similar field.
• Experience in SAAS companies and with Machine Learning is a plus.
