  • Perform detailed harness design using Siemens Capital Harness.
  • Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, harness schematics, connection diagrams, wire lists, cable drawings, and electrical interconnect documentation.
  • Select appropriate connectors, contacts, backshells, wire types, shielding, sleeving, and other harness components based on system and environmental requirements.
  • Define wire routing, termination requirements, pin assignments, splices, shielding, grounding, and electrical interfaces.
  • Manage harness design data, drawings, revisions, engineering changes, and configuration documentation within Teamcenter.
  • Translate electrical system requirements and source data into detailed, manufacturable harness designs.
  • Review electrical interfaces and system architecture to ensure accurate connectivity between components, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Perform design reviews and identify potential issues related to routing, connectorization, electrical interfaces, manufacturability, or installation.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting engineering documentation.
  • Work closely with electrical, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and integration teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support engineering changes, drawing updates, configuration changes, and legacy harness redesign efforts.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and integration teams for harness-related questions and design issues.
  • Troubleshoot electrical connectivity and harness design issues and implement appropriate design corrections.
  • Ensure harness designs meet applicable aerospace/defense engineering, quality, and documentation requirements.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical wire harness or cable design.
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens Capital Harness for harness design and electrical documentation.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams in a remote environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience designing harnesses for aerospace, defense, aviation, military, or other high-reliability systems.
  • Experience supporting harness designs through the full lifecycle, from initial design through release, manufacturing, installation, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of aerospace/defense wiring and harness standards is preferred.
  • Experience with complex electromechanical systems and equipment interconnects.
  • Experience modifying or modernizing legacy harness designs and converting existing electrical documentation into updated digital designs.
  • Familiarity with configuration-controlled engineering environments.
  • Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed engineering teams.
