Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Director – Strategic Pursuits (DSP) to drive business development in the public agency market, with a focus on light rail, commuter rail, and transit authorities. This fully remote role supports the RVP Strategic Relations, shaping pursuit strategies and leading RFQ/RFP responses while building executive client relationships and expanding market share.

The DSP collaborates with cross-functional teams, leverages CRM systems, and travels as needed to client sites and RailPros

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ direct experience in the Transit or Commuter Rail Transportation Industry.
• Experience with RFQ/RFP processes and program management.
• Ability to analyze RFQs, RFPs and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market-focused growth strategies for rail and transit clients.
• Evaluate pursuit strategy by market dynamics and client drivers.
• Cultivate executive-level client relationships and expand wallet share across services.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to align resources with client needs.
• Manage multiple pursuits with disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
