Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) seeks a Principal Accountant for the NMSBDC to manage the financial aspects of grants, state appropriations and expenditures, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, and coordinating with multiple institutions and agencies.

The position may be hybrid or fully remote within New Mexico as determined by the Director of NMSBDC. A detailed financial background and several years of accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Minimum of 15 credit hours in accounting.
• 10 years of job-related experience.

Responsabilités

• Analyze grant accounting, funding and allocations, and certify correct expense allocations.
• Oversee all grant-related financial aspects across the NMSBDC ecosystem.
• Prepare and submit financial grant documents to agencies and funders.
• Verify grant compliance, facilitate budget meetings and provide program updates.
• Prepare spend authorizations, requisitions, and expense records; analyze data for efficiency.
• Monitor grant expenditures and track personnel and fringe benefits costs.
• Provide training on financial and procurement requirements to project staff.
