Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking an Accounting Analyst II to join our corporate accounting team in Beaverton, OR. You will ensure grant funding and governmental awards are recorded, monitored, reconciled, and reported in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

You’ll contribute to process improvements, strengthen controls, and support audits while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of corporate or public accounting experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience researching accounting guidance to complex transactions.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and variances.

Responsibilities

• Determine accounting treatment for grant funding and monitor related activity.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for audits.
• Analyze variances and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor internal controls and update accounting policies as needed.
• Support financial and compliance audits.
