The role requires managing reimbursements, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations, ensuring alignment with Uniform Guidance and sponsor requirements, while coordinating with grant managers and investigators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three years finance or accounting experience in higher education or nonprofit settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of and experience managing grants through private, federal, and state grant processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze federal and state statutes and grant requirements impacting accounting and compliance.
• Review grant awards, budgets, and terms to ensure proper financial implementation.
• Prepare grant-related reimbursement requests, draws, invoices per award terms.
• Enter grant setup in CTClink with correct chartstrings and reporting attributes.
• Reconcile grant transactions to the general ledger monthly.
• Prepare grant-related journal entries and cost allocations.
• Monitor grant expenditures, payroll allocations, and variances for compliance.
• Validate financial data used for grant accounting and reporting.
• Facilitate regular meetings with grant managers and principal investigators.
