Job summary

Chugach Regional Resources Commission seeks a Grant Accountant to ensure timely and accurate accounting for all grants and contracts. You will report to the Finance Director and supervise the Grants & Contracts Administrator, preparing reports and invoicing in accordance with funder requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least three years in grant management, nonprofit accounting, and federal grant oversight.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field.
At least three years of related experience.
Experience in grant management, nonprofit accounting and federal grant management.
Ability to work independently and in a team; meet heavy deadlines.

Responsibilities

Administer and ensure timely fiscal submission and reporting of federal, state, and other grants.
Maintain a system for tracking restrictions on contributions.
Review grant expenses and verify compliance with contract and grant requirements.
Prepare monthly statements of activity for each fund and provide to principal investigators.
Prepare financial reports for reimbursement requests, quarterly reporting, and annual audits.
Complete the financial closeout process for all grants and contracts.
Provide day-to-day supervision to Grants & Contracts Administrator.
