Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago seeks a Graduate Hourly – Research Development to assist in identifying and cataloging funding opportunity announcements, news stories, and event announcements relevant to the UIC research enterprise. Fully remote, year-round, part-time position.

The role supports the Office of Research Development under the Vice Chancellor for Research, focusing on curating opportunities, organizing weekly submissions, and contributing to special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Must currently be enrolled in a graduate program at UIC.
• Preference will be given to candidates with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; able to organize, prioritize and meet weekly deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct funding opportunity searches and curate funding opportunity lists.
• Collect funding opportunity announcements, news stories and event announcements from diverse sources including campus websites and newsletters (listservs).
• Weekly, compile and organize newly released limited submission funding opportunities in a shared document.
• Weekly, compile and organize non-limited funding opportunity announcements, news stories and event announcements in a shared document.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
