Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Graduate Economist for a fully remote position. You will apply economics theory to real-world challenges, support data collection, econometric modeling, and the preparation of research reports and client presentations.

You will work with senior economists in a flexible, self-directed environment, conducting literature reviews, developing forecasts, and visualizing findings with charts and tables. Ideal for recent economics graduates with strong quantitative skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Economics or related quantitative field
• Strong foundation in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics
• Proficiency with statistical software packages (Stata, R, SPSS, EViews) is essential

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and processing economic data from various sources
• Perform econometric analyses and statistical modeling
• Contribute to research reports, briefs, and client presentations
• Support development of economic forecasts and projections
• Create charts, graphs, and tables to visualize findings
• Collaborate with senior economists on research projects
• Conduct literature reviews on relevant topics
• Maintain databases and ensure data integrity
