Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Government Contract Specialist - Risk Mitigation to join our team, focused on government and commercial contract formation with emphasis on risk mitigation, proposal compliance, and negotiation strategy. You will collaborate across teams to review RFPs, shape terms, and support high-quality offer development in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in government and commercial contract formation.
• Expertise in FAR, DFARS, and UCC.
• Experience with various contract types, including FFP and CPFF.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate contracts.
• Professional certification by NCMA, NPMA, or a similar organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of RFPs and ensure compliance before submission
• Build and run risk review sessions to drive strategy and approvals
• Partner with teams to prepare terms and conditions that balance risk and strategy
• Provide direction on proposal quality and adherence to risk management processes
• Own the contract operations risk process to support high-quality operations
• Use LEAN tools for continuous improvement in offer quality
• Lead complex contract negotiations aligned with customer needs and quality goals
