Job summary

Frazier & Deeter in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Government Contract Accounting Senior Manager within our CAAS practice to lead complex government contracting engagements, provide strategic guidance on accounting and compliance, and help clients navigate FAR, DCAA, and cost standards.

You will develop client relationships, mentor managers and staff, manage budgets and timelines, support business development, and travel as needed to client sites and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA preferred; 8+ years in government contractor client service.
• Experience with FAR, DCAA, cost accounting standards, indirect rate structures and allocability.
• Experience with government contract accounting software (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS or similar).
• Strong leadership, client relationships, networking, and business development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple government contractor client engagements, advising on accounting, compliance, and operations.
• Provide guidance on FAR, DCAA, cost standards, indirect rates, and cost allowability.
• Oversee financial statements, rate calculations, and incurred cost submissions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities to expand services.
• Advise on DCAA audit readiness and process improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, forward pricing, and proposal pricing support.
• Engage in business development and industry networking activities.
• Stay current on regulations and trends in government contracting.
• Lead and mentor managers and staff to foster high performance.
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, timelines, and profitability; ensure quality deliverables.
