You will help prepare testimony, talking points, briefs, and outreach tools, and coordinate meetings and briefings with Congressional staff.

Qualifications

• Education may enhance skills required for this position; however, no substitution of education for specialized experience may be made at this level.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Branch Chief for Government Affairs in formulating and executing the legislative strategy; conducts research and develops agency-wide products, such as testimony, talking points, roll out plans and briefing memos.
• Develops and implements outreach strategies to a variety of communities, including the development of strategic outreach tools and products that cross-cut OLPA.
• Plans and organizes legislative-related briefings and meetings, handling or assigning administrative details, and oversees preparation of final reports, products, and presentations.
• Manages and coordinates special events and projects that cross-cut OLPA and NSF, including briefings for Congressional staff.
• Manages OLPA's automatic notification of awards for Congress in conjunction with appropriate divisions in NSF.
• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work approximately 20% of the time.
