Job summary

Metrc, a leading cannabis regulatory systems provider in the United States, seeks a Government Affairs Associate to engage with state legislators, regulators, and other stakeholders. You will help shape policy strategy and clearly communicate complex regulatory concepts.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in political science or a related field and 2+ years in government affairs across multiple states, with familiarity in Quorum, Salesforce, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Minimum two years of government affairs experience across states preferred.
• Experience with policy, regulatory environments, and legislative processes.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of state government affairs strategies.
• Manage relationships with state legislators, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with consultants and internal teams on campaigns and messaging.
• Monitor legislative activity and report outcomes using CRM/tracking tools.
• Travel as needed; willingness to work evenings/weekends.
