Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Governance Engineer II for a remote role in the United States. You will translate governance policies into automated, scalable solutions for APIs, data access, and responsible AI, working across architecture, security, risk, data, and engineering teams.

The role focuses on governance-as-code, guardrails for AI agents, and lifecycle management to enable secure innovation while maintaining compliance. Remote work is supported nationwide with exceptions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting REST APIs and integrations.
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and API lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and governance-as-code practices.
• Knowledge of API security concepts including OAuth and secure design.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise policies into implementable API governance standards and reusable components.
• Establish guardrails for AI agent discovery, access, and invocation of APIs and data.
• Support API lifecycle activities from design to retirement, including versioning and deprecation.
• Build governance-automation scripts and tooling to enhance developer adoption and compliance.
