Job summary

The State of Minnesota, through the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), seeks a Governance and Communications Coordinator to support enterprise governance, portfolio stewardship, and cross-agency alignment. The role partners with DCYF leadership and other state entities to coordinate projects and communications.

This temporary, full-time position offers telework up to 50% within Minnesota or nearby states, day shift, and benefits including paid leave, health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Develop written materials translating complex information for varied audiences.
• Public speaking and presenting to executive leadership, legislators, or partners.
• Facilitating planning efforts and guiding teams to goals and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage DCYF governance processes across cross-agency teams.
• Develop goals, action plans, and strategic options for enterprise initiatives.
• Lead communication strategies and products to support priorities.
• Coordinate legislative proposal tracking and prepare reports as needed.
• Create tools and processes to improve clarity and consistency.
