Job summary

VSolvit, LLC. is seeking a Director of Contracts & Project Controls to lead the contracting and project control functions for government programs.

This executive role requires deep GovCon expertise, strategic oversight of FAR/DFARS compliance, and the ability to align contract strategy with finance, legal, and business development to drive efficiency and cost containment. The successful candidate will manage a team, influence negotiations, and implement transformation initiatives across capture,

Qualifications

Ability to obtain / maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
10+ years in government contracting and project controls.
Thorough knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR and related regulations.
Strong leadership, negotiation, risk management and analytical skills.
Experience managing multiple contracts in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
Proficiency in contract management systems.
Experience with GovCon ERP systems (Deltek/Unanet) and related analytics.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract administration activities, including new awards, modifications, extensions, and closeouts
Review, analyze, and interpret contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations
Lead contract negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and teaming partners
Coordinate with Legal and Finance to ensure alignment between contract obligations, billing, and financial reporting
Prepare and maintain contractual documents, including NDAs and Subcontracts
Ensure timely submission of deliverables, contract reports, and modifications
Advise program teams on contract interpretation, risk mitigation, and change management
Conduct internal audits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement
Mentor junior contract staff and assist in developing scalable contract management procedures
Oversee contract lifecycle management to ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS and related policies
