Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Software Engineer focused on IaC platforms and the Go-based Terraform provider. You will own architecture, improve reliability, and drive migration paths for users at scale.

You will collaborate with leadership on roadmaps, design docs, and RFCs, while working in a fully remote environment with a global team. A strong focus on lifecycle correctness and documentation is required.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience on developer platforms, infrastructure tooling, or distributed systems.
Strong proficiency in Go and shipping production-grade developer tooling.
Deep experience with Terraform provider behavior and lifecycle edge cases.
Knowledge of schema design, versioning, and backwards compatibility.
Experience with testing strategies for providers and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

Own the Go Terraform provider codebase, architecture, testing strategy, and release readiness.
Improve provider reliability and ergonomics, including resource behaviour and upgrade safety.
Drive IaC workflow strategy through design docs and RFCs.
Build migration paths for existing Terraform users.
Collaborate with product and engineering to define priorities and outcomes.
Monitor feedback and usage signals to improve the Terraform experience.
Create clear documentation and examples for IaC workflows.
