Job summary

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Go Quality Assurance Lead for an hourly remote contractor role. You will oversee quality, training, and performance across AI training projects, review Go code and trainer output, and provide precise feedback to ensure alignment with rubrics and client expectations.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality, conducting code reviews, guiding remote trainers, maintaining documentation, and helping onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Go development, backend engineering, cloud services, distributed systems, DevOps tooling, code review, software QA, or technical mentoring.
• Strong understanding of Go fundamentals including goroutines, channels, interfaces, structs, methods, slices, maps, pointers, error handling, context, packages/modules, testing, and idiomatic Go style.
• Experience evaluating Go content against rubrics and identifying non‑compilable code, race conditions, or incomplete explanations.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: spot‑check Go items and provide ongoing feedback.
• Code review: evaluate AI‑generated Go code and backend snippets for correctness and clarity.
• Trainer/QA communication: update on guideline changes and quality expectations.
• Onboarding and documentation: maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Risk and security review: flag insecure or non‑production‑ready Go recommendations.
• Process improvement: identify recurring quality gaps and help scale QA processes.
