Job summary

Wadhwani Foundation seeks a senior, strategic program executive to serve as its inaugural Vice President – Global Programs & Grants Management, leading WOF and overseeing WCF grant-making, driving strategy across a global philanthropic enterprise.

The role is remote-based in the United States with a strong preference for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area. It requires regular travel, and offers a salary of $300,000–$350,000 with a 25% bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• The Vice President role requires senior leadership experience across global philanthropy and large-scale program operations.
• Strong expertise in program strategy, performance management, MEL, and grant governance.
• Experience engaging Boards, Trustees, executives, and geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated portfolio function spanning program strategy, performance outcomes, and grant strategy, governance and stewardship.
• Translate priorities into measurable program plans; establish MEL systems; oversee grant diligence, agreements, and disbursement.
• Provide evidence-based funding recommendations and maintain portfolio views of funding, risk, and impact.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, and performance management for the Programs and Grants Management team.
