Job summary

The Wadhwani Foundation seeks a senior, entrepreneurial Vice President – Global Programs & Grants Management to lead the organization’s global program strategy and grant governance. Reporting to the CEO, this role will translate priorities into measurable plans, establish MEL frameworks, and oversee due diligence, agreements, and disbursements.

Based in the United States with strong preference for Bay Area presence, the VP will partner with across-country leaders, boards, and donors to maximize

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior leadership experience across global philanthropy and large-scale programs.
• Experience in technology or AI-enabled platforms is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead multi-country program and grant portfolios with measurable outcomes.
• Expertise in program strategy, MEL, grant governance, and donor stewardship.
• Ability to synthesize program and financial evidence to inform funding decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead global program strategy, performance, and grant governance across WOF and WCF.
• Develop and monitor MEL systems, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting standards.
• Oversee grant due-diligence, disbursements, compliance and renewal decisions.
• Prepare integrated program and grant portfolio reviews for the Board.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, and development of the Programs and Grants Management team.
