Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to lead strategic sourcing across designated core categories, including DC Motors, Windings, and Hardware. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and site Supply Chain teams to deploy global commodity strategies and improve cost competitiveness and supply continuity.

You will manage end-to-end RFx processes, analyze market dynamics, negotiate with suppliers, and develop supplier agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–7 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain in manufacturing (A&D preferred).
• Experience managing RFx processes (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).
• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience with cost analysis, PPV, VA/VE, or should‑cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end‑to‑end RFx processes from supplier identification to award.
• Support global sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation and license support.
• Ensure activities align with established commodity strategies and business objectives.
• Develop and refine global commodity strategies and monitor supplier performance.
