Job summary

Himalayas is seeking a GitHub Specialist contractor to support a customer project by completing and documenting real-world GitHub workflows. You will leverage hands-on GitHub experience to perform tasks, record workflows, and provide precise action rubrics to guide AI-assisted data development.

Responsibilities include navigating repositories, branches, commits, PRs, issues, and collaboration, plus creating and maintaining GitHub workflows while documenting steps and tool usage.

Qualifications

• Hands-on GitHub experience in professional or open-source environments.
• Experience recording screen during tasks.
• Ability to clearly explain technical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned workflows within GitHub using practical software development and version control experience.
• Navigate GitHub features related to repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaboration.
• Create, edit, review, and manage repositories and common GitHub workflows based on provided instructions.
• Use Git and GitHub to complete common version control tasks such as branching, merging, commits, and pull requests.
• Record your screen while completing assigned workflows and clearly demonstrate the steps taken.
• Create realistic prompts and detailed rubrics based on completed workflows.
• Document workflow steps and clearly explain the GitHub tools, features, and actions used.
• Review task outputs for accuracy and alignment with project guidelines.
• Follow project instructions and quality standards while working independently in a remote environment.
