Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an experienced GIS and Geospatial AI Expert for a remote contractor position. You will apply GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analytics alongside Python to evaluate AI-generated solutions in real-world geospatial contexts.

The role requires documenting advanced workflows, evaluating multi-step AI-assisted processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to refine evaluation criteria. Proficiency with Codex and Claude-based agents is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven GIS and geospatial analytics expertise.
• Experience with remote sensing data and technologies.
• Strong Python programming skills for geospatial workflows.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents and how to evaluate AI-generated code.
• Ability to document complex workflows clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders in remote or distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert analysis on GIS, geospatial data, remote sensing, and spatial analytics.
• Document advanced workflows involving AI coding agents (Codex, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Claude Science).
• Describe real-world tasks where AI agents execute multi-step technical workflows.
• Contextualize tool selection, technical approach, agent-generated sequences, and outcomes.
• Evaluate and critique AI-generated solutions for complex geospatial challenges.
• Share real-world examples of ambiguity, scale, data complexity, or constraints and how AI agents helped.
• Use Python and geospatial libraries to support analysis and workflow development.
• Collaborate asynchronously with stakeholders to refine documentation and guidance materials.
