Job summary

The Squires Group, Inc. is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst to support DoD installations remotely, with a preference for candidates near San Antonio, TX. Individuals must hold an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE and U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities include managing geospatial data lifecycle, ensuring data integrity, and integrating GIS with CAD/engineering tools. Strong communication and DoD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Science, GIS, Geography or related field.
• Experience supporting DoD GIS environments and processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of geospatial data from field collection to delivery.
• Provide SME on GIS data collection methodologies and compliance requirements.
• Develop SOPs, controls, and guidance to improve GIS processes.
• Review and reconcile GIS datasets for accuracy and completeness.
• Interpret property deeds and legal descriptions to develop accurate GIS maps.
• Integrate GIS data with CAD and engineering platforms.
• Support geospatial data collection and analysis across military installations.
• Deliver project updates and briefings to senior stakeholders.
• Provide on-site GIS support at military installations as needed.
