Job summary

The Squires Group is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst to support geospatial data management for DoD installations. This remote role prefers candidates near San Antonio, TX, and requires U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.

You will work across DoD GIS environments, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop GIS process documentation, and integrate GIS data with CAD/engineering tools.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Secret clearance or higher and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Geography, GIS, or related field.
• Experience supporting DoD GIS environments, systems, and processes.
• Strong ability to manage geospatial data, mapping, analysis, and data integrity.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of geospatial data from field collection to delivery.
• Provide SME guidance on GIS data collection methods and compliance.
• Develop SOPs, controls, and guidance to improve GIS processes.
• Review GIS datasets to improve spatial accuracy and data integrity.
• Interpret deeds and legal descriptions to develop accurate GIS maps.
• Integrate GIS data with CAD and engineering platforms.
• Support mapping and analysis across military installations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and data quality.
