Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, delivering GIS technical services. You will develop and maintain GIS maps, geodatabases, and analyses to meet government requirements, collaborating with federal staff and project managers.

The role emphasizes ArcGIS Pro, geodatabase stewardship, and automated workflows using Python and ModelBuilder, with remote-friendly options and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional GIS production experience using ESRI software.
• Experience using ArcGIS Pro and maintaining enterprise geodatabases.
• Knowledge of GIS principles, cartography, spatial analysis, and data management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain GIS maps, graphics, and tabular data products using ESRI software.
• Create, update, and maintain enterprise geodatabases and other geospatial databases.
• Perform spatial analysis and deliver GIS outputs that meet project objectives.
• Develop automated geoprocessing tools using Python and ModelBuilder.
• Collaborate with Bureau of Reclamation personnel to identify GIS requirements and solutions.
• Provide GIS technical assistance and support to Reclamation staff.
• Maintain project documentation, logs, and metadata.
