Job summary

Liberty University seeks an Online Adjunct Faculty member for Gerontology in the School of Health Sciences. This part-time, non-benefited position is fully online, remote, and aligns with the university's evangelical mission.

You will teach from the approved Gerontology curriculum, provide timely feedback, and support student success throughout the term. Responsibilities include advising students, maintaining records, and engaging in student-centered instruction using collaborative learning

Qualifications

• PhD in Gerontology or MD in Geriatrics.
• All degrees must be from an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Applicants must demonstrate a personal faith commitment to Liberty University’s evangelical purpose.
• Adherence to Liberty University’s evangelical mission and doctrine.
• Familiarity with collaborative learning techniques and student-centered instruction.
• Proven organizational skills and ability to complete assignments timely and accurately with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with students with a wide range of abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff and demonstrate teaching strength at the college level.

Responsibilities

• Teach material from the approved curriculum on an assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
• Assist students in achieving course objectives and learning outcomes.
• Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
• Advise students on academics, attendance, and behavior matters.
• Motivate students to engage in all aspects of the educational process.
• Maintain and report grades and attendance per university policy.
• Maintain standards for course activity, emails, grading, and communication with mentors and students.
• Other duties as assigned.
