Job summary

micro1 is a data lab that helps AI labs and enterprises train foundational models and agents. We provide frontier evaluations and reinforcement learning environments to improve LLM capabilities, as well as contextual evaluations to monitor and improve AI agents in enterprise settings.

Role Title: German Bilingual Expert, located remotely as a contractor. You will listen to German audio, assess nativeness, pronunciation, and linguistic authenticity, and provide clear feedback in English to help

Qualifications

• Native or near-native German proficiency.
• Linguistics, translation, localization, or related field.
• Editorial, proofreading, or content review experience in German.
• Familiarity with digital tools for documentation and content management.
• Ability to explain language concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset and commitment to linguistic quality.

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio clips in German and evaluate nativeness and fluency of speaker or model output.
• Assess pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic authenticity according to guidelines.
• Document assessments with clear written feedback in English.
• Provide detailed justifications for each evaluation to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify requirements or address ambiguities.
