Job summary

Providence is seeking a Genetic Counselor for remote telemedicine services across the Providence organization to support system genetics programs in collaboration with the Genomics leadership team and regional clinicians. The role provides direct patient care, assists with program launches, and partners with local teams to integrate Genomics into practice within the ministry.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics.
• Genetic Counselor License - State Board - where applicable.
• National Certified Genetic Counselor - ABGC.
• 3 years' experience providing patient-facing genetic counseling and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality genetic counseling services across the Providence organization through telemedicine in support of the implementation and growth of system genetics programs in collaboration with the Genomics leadership team, regional physicians, genetic counselors, and clinical support staff.
• Serve as a flexible clinical resource for regions with limited or emerging genetics capacity, providing direct patient care, assisting with program launches, and partnering with local clinical teams to integrate Genomics programs into practice at their ministry.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, provider education, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, workflow development, and program development.
