Job summary

Providence is seeking a Genetic Counselor to provide remote telemedicine genetic counseling across the Providence system, supporting the implementation and growth of genomics programs in collaboration with the Genomics leadership team and clinical staff.

This role serves as a flexible clinical resource for regions with limited or emerging genetics capacity, delivering patient care, education, quality improvement, research, and program development while integrating Genomics into practice.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics.
• Upon hire: Genetic Counselor License - State Board, where applicable.
• Upon hire: National Certified Genetic Counselor - ABGC.
• 3 years' experience providing patient-facing genetic counseling and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver telemedicine genetic counseling across Providence organization.
• Support implementation and growth of system genetics programs.
• Collaborate with regional physicians, counselors, and clinical staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, education, quality improvement, and research.
