Job summary

Wolverine Power Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician in Zeeland, MI (Remote). The role involves generator maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-site service for Generac equipment across our customer base.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1 year of mechanical experience, and the ability to obtain Generac certifications. Valid driver license is required. Opportunities for growth and training are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; valid driver license.
• 1 year of mechanical experience; industrial environment preferred.
• Willing to obtain Generac certification in air-cooled and protector series.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical skills including mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair of generators.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs after hours, weekends and holidays as directed.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of generators.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform maintenance and/or repairs.
• Detect faulty operations and report to service manager in a timely manner
• Stay current on NFPA and State regulations for Emergency Power Supply Systems.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate report findings through phone calls, emails and in person.

Education

High School Diploma

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
