Job summary

UConn Health Community Network is seeking an experienced General Radiologist for a fully remote daytime diagnostic radiology role serving community hospital partners and outpatient imaging sites. The position offers full-time and part-time options and includes a UConn Health PACS workstation and weekday daytime coverage.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
• Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
• Minimum five years of post-training experience in general diagnostic radiology.
• Proficiency in emergency and inpatient radiography, CT, and ultrasound.
• Connecticut medical license or eligibility.
• Eligibility for UConn community faculty appointment and appropriate medical staff privileges.
• Ability to maintain a secure, private remote reading environment with high-speed internet connectivity.
• Ability to participate in weekend daytime call.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely interpretation of STAT, emergency, inpatient and outpatient examinations.
• Prioritize urgent studies, including trauma, stroke, and other acute presentations.
• Provide clear, actionable reports and appropriate follow-up recommendations.
• Communicate critical and unexpected findings directly to referring clinicians.
• Consult with clinicians and technologists regarding imaging findings, protocols, and appropriate imaging utilization.
• Participate in weekend daytime general radiology call.
• Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and standardization initiatives across the network.
