Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a General Liability Trial Attorney for a remote role serving the Northern California area. You will manage all phases of litigation, coordinate with claims professionals, and advance case strategy while mentoring colleagues as needed.

The role requires a California Bar admission, a JD, and 5+ years of litigation experience. Strong MS Office, Adobe, and Lexis/Westlaw skills are expected; insurance defense knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and 5+ years of litigation experience; CA Bar in good standing.
• Experience with MS Office, Adobe, and legal research platforms (Lexis/Westlaw).
• Knowledge of the insurance defense litigation process and legal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation from evaluation through resolution.
• Develop case strategy with claims professionals and manage discovery.
• Negotiate settlements and appear at hearings on behalf of clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and serve as a technical resource on complex matters.
