Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Per Diem General Liability Adjuster to handle complex automobile, homeowner, and excess liability claims. This remote, part-time position supports the company’s nationwide operations and emphasizes thorough coverage analysis and strategic settlements.

You will work with experienced teams to evaluate damages, interact with defense counsel, and maintain proper reserves, ensuring accurate and timely decisions across multi-state claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college preferred.
• Eight (8) years of related experience in personal lines claims and coverage letters preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tort theories, legal concepts, negotiation strategies, and litigation management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present effectively.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts complex automobile, homeowner, and excess liability claims.
• Evaluates exposure, coverage, and damages according to contract, company policies, and state laws.
• Manages defense counsel in litigation and complex coverage scenarios.
• Drafts coverage letters including reservation of rights and denials; maintains reserves.
• Collaborates with counsel to plan settlements and trial strategies; monitors discovery process.
