Job summary

PharmaLogic is seeking a General Counsel in the Boston West / Waltham area. The role leads a broad legal portfolio, focusing on commercial contracts, IP, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management in a fast-paced, highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Active bar membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive legal experience, including in-house roles.
• Experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted legal and strategic advisor to leadership on a broad range of matters.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements.
• Develop contracting strategies to improve speed and protect legal interests.
• Advise on intellectual property strategy, licensing, and trade secrets.
• Direct litigation, investigations, and outside counsel management.
• Identify legal/regulatory risks and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for pharma, radiopharma, and GMP environments.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Compliance, Operations, and Finance.
• Support corporate governance, strategic transactions, and M&A efforts.
• Provide employment and workplace guidance with HR and external counsel.
• Build policies, playbooks, and training to strengthen compliance.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on impacts.
• Manage legal budget and resources; develop a high-performing team.
• Promote integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
