Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Legal to lead complex legal matters in a global CRO environment. This remote US-based role partners with the General Counsel and senior leaders to balance business objectives with legal and ethical obligations.

You will influence enterprise-wide decisions, drive strategic contracting, and shape a scalable, high-performing legal function while collaborating with Clinical Operations, Finance, HR, Quality, and Data Privacy teams.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, active license to practice law, and membership in good standing in at least one jurisdiction.
8–12+ years of progressively responsible legal experience, including significant in-house leadership within a CRO or regulated life sciences environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting complex clinical research services and sponsor contracting.

Responsibilities

Advise the General Counsel and senior leadership on complex legal, regulatory, and commercial risk matters.
Lead strategic legal subject-matter areas and provide practical guidance for global operations.
Oversee drafting and negotiation of clinical research agreements and sponsor-facing contracts.
Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline contracting and support business performance.
Address GxP, privacy, data integrity, and regulatory obligations with Quality and Compliance teams.
Support enterprise risk management, investigations, governance, and significant legal risks.
Lead, mentor, and develop legal professionals while advancing operational excellence.
